The Challenge
Candle-lighting and zmanim depend on exact location and date, so a printed calendar is only right for one city. People who travel, and synagogues that publish times for members, need times computed for where they actually are.
The Solution
Times are calculated from Hebcal for the visitor’s auto-detected location, or any city or zip code they search, and each city gets its own page. Weekly email reminders deliver the coming Shabbat’s times. Synagogues get a microsite at their own URL with their logo, accent color and the rabbi’s message. The same backend powers the iOS app.
